Location:
Bedfordshire Football Association, Century House, Skimpot Road, Dunstable, Luton LU5 4JU
About this event:
Organiser: Be Active in partnership with NWG and Local Children's Safeguarding Board
This session has been specifically designed for all volunteers involved within sports clubs and for anyone who wants to get better at speaking up when things aren't right. By embedding Active Bystander training into your club, it will help create a safer and more inclusive environment for all.
Bystander training can help people become confident at safely and effectively intervening in situations challenge conversations they are not comfortable with. It's about empowering everyone in the club, whether on the field or in the changing room, to take action and ensure that all members and volunteers feel respected, supported, and safe. This training provides the confidence to call out inappropriate behaviour and create a positive and inclusive culture within a club.
During the session you will also hear from Veronique Be Active Sport Welfare Officer along with key safeguarding partners who can support safeguarding in sport.
